Working Solutions unveils improved website for job seekers and businesses

UTICA – The Workforce Development Board, Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties, Inc. – better known to job seekers and local businesses as Working Solutions, recently launched a new website – www.working-solutions.org – which offers a wide range of free resources.

Services offered on the new website include:

The ability for job seekers to search for jobs in six counties with a personalized job search link, as well as view recent local job postings;

The opportunity to learn about the agency’s free training scholarship programs and eligibility conditions;

The ability to subscribe to the agency blog to be notified of new hiring events, free training/learning opportunities, new job openings, and the latest workforce news;

The possibility of subscribing to the monthly newsletter of Working Solutions on the home page of the site;

The ability to access an online form for companies to submit job openings for posting on the New York State Job Bank and local social media, as well as a contact form to get recruiting or training services, and the ability to view current labor market information and workforce surveys and news;

The ability to access a contact form for businesses and job seekers to request services from local business representatives or work solution centers.

The Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida Counties Workforce Development Board is part of the Public Workforce System, a network of federal, state, and local offices that support economic expansion and develop the talent of the national workforce.

Local Workforce Development Councils strive to strengthen the workforce by creating partnerships between business and workers that lead to long-term growth and prosperity for both.

The agency seeks to serve as a leader and catalyst for workforce development programs and services, and as a regional partner, creating impactful strategies to meet the immediate and long-term needs of workforce and the region’s economic development priorities.

According to the announcement, the Workforce Development Board of Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties has, over the past 12 months, trained, provided job placement and other support services to more than 500 people. .

For those requiring in-person assistance, local Working Solutions offices are located at: 300 W. Dominick St., Rome; the New York State Office Building, 207 Genesee St., Utica; the Herkimer County Office Building, 320 N. Prospect St., Herkimer; and at the Madison County Office Complex, 133 N. Court St. in Wampsville.
