Kolkata: Leftist intellectuals objected to the SSC’s corruption of recruitment this time around. Leftist intellectuals as well as people of various professions took part in a procession from the Dharmatala Victoria House to the Gandhi statue on Monday. Left Front Chairman Biman Bose, Suryakant Mishra and other left-wing leaders join the procession under the banner of civil society. The procession was attended by former Mayor of Kolkata Municipality and SSC Recruitment Advocate Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya.
SSC job applicants have been protesting for five hundred days at the foot of the Mayo Road Gandhi statue. Now leftist intellectuals supported them. Director Anike Dutta, actor Chandan Sen, pedagogue Pavitra Sarkar, who were present in the motorcade, demanded the immediate nomination of eligible candidates for the motorcade. Eligible job aspirants are unable to attend work, on the other hand, they have picked up several crores of rupees from two apartments of Arpita Mukhopadhyay, who is close to the former education minister and former Industry Minister Partha Chattopadhyay.
At the end of the rally, Biman Bose said that this money was actually not from Partha Chatterjee alone, but a large part of the state’s ruling party was involved in it. Biman Bose also demanded the immediate resignation of the chief minister taking responsibility for the whole incident. Incidentally, various job applicants, including SSC, have been protesting for more than five hundred days. Some job candidates participate in this event with their children. Recently, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee promised to nominate these candidates, but these candidates were not nominated. However, Education Minister Bratya Basu held a meeting with a group of job seekers on Sunday. But some of the protesters at the foot of the Gandhi statue said there was no secret meeting, the state government should resolve the issue face to face and appoint jobs.
